Scouting report
Allen is a big power bat from the left side. When he was drafted he was believed to be a high upside raw talent. That has been exactly the case. Allen took a few years in the minors to get going, but has proven himself to be one of the better first base prospects in the game. He has good athleticism for a guy his size and his defense seems to be improving enough for him to shed the stigma of being limited to DH in the Majors. He walks a good amount and his contact rate is decent enough to hit for a useful batting average to go with his power. Look for a batting average around .270 with an OBP around .345 with 30-35 HR if he maxes out on his potential.
Major League Outlook: Average first baseman
