Right handed starting pitcher Carlos Torres was named to the International League All-Star team. He was the only Knight named to the team.

Torres, 26, is having a breakout year. The Kansas State product is 7-4 with a 2.41 ERA in 15 starts. In 86 innings he has struck out 84 and walked 35. Opponents are hitting .213 off of Torres. He ranks 7th in ERA, t-4th in wins and t-2nd in strikeouts.

The IL All-Stars will play the Pacific Coast League All-Stars Wednesday, July 15 at 9 p.m. central in Portland, Oregon. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
