Scouting report
Danks is a great athlete that plays plus defense in centerfield. He has a lot of range and a good arm. As a hitter, he has good on-base skills and projects to have a decent batting average despite a somewhat high strikeout rate. In high school, scouts projected him to add a good amount of power, but that never developed during his time at Texas. On the upside, he hasn’t appeared to lose any power with wood bats and still projects to be a 15-20 HR threat in the Majors. Danks possesses above average speed, but likely won’t be a major stolen base threat. He was slowed in 2009 with a wrist injury after being promoted to Birmingham. The younger brother of John, Jordan has been drafted by the White Sox twice, the first time being the 19th round in 2005.
