Hot And Cold 7/28

By John Norris

This week a pair of Dash players make the FutureSox hot and cold sheet.

Although only hitting .250 over his last 10 games in 40 at bats through July 28th, outfielder Salvador Sanchez has scored 6 runs with 10 hits, 3 home runs, 10 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Sanchez is hitting .252 on the season in 94 games with 91 hits, 21 doubles, 12 home runs, 50 RBI and 19 stolen bases with a .708 OPS. He is in his second year with Winston-Salem.

After a scorching start with the Dash, Tyler Kuhn has cooled off significantly. In his last 10 games through July 28th, Kuhn is only hitting .184 in 38 at bats with 3 runs scored, 7 hits, 1 double and 3 RBI. Although he has drawn 6 BB in that time, he’s struck out 9 times and been caught stealing twice without any stolen bases. Kuhn is still hitting .339 in 32 games with Winston-Salem and his combined average with Kannapolis is .313. In 90 games total for the season, he has 106 hits, 17 doubles and 35 RBI. He’s stolen 24 bases and has a OPS of .750.
