Ricky Brooks has been promoted to Birmingham from Winston-Salem, where he’ll take the place of the injured Ryan Rote (Placed on the DL).

With day 2 of the 2009 MLB Draft in the books I just wanted to take a few minutes to give some of my thoughts on two picks that really stood out to me from rounds 4-30.

The top two picks of the White Sox 2009 draft could be on a fast track to the Majors.

For the 8th straight year the White Sox took a college player with their first pick. Speedy LSU outfielder Jared Mitchell was taken 23rd overall by the Pale Hose.
